Sean is passionate about supporting & elevating LGBT+ stories, especially in film. Historically, on-screen representation of LGBT+ characters and their stories has been limited and diminished, from outright censorship (in Hollywood, between 1934 and 1968) to stereotypically prejudiced portrayals. From the serious to the silly, Sean believes that elevating these often untold stories has an important impact on our cultural discourse. For this reason, Sean has translated his interest in this topic to several film projects, which are detailed below.

Sean is a longtime major sponsor of QDoc, the only film festival in the U.S. devoted specifically to queer documentaries.
