Sean Bruich (pronounced “brew-ICK”) is Senior Vice President of Artificial Intelligence and Data at Amgen, where he leads the company’s efforts to accelerate the development and deployment of AI and advance data science across the enterprise.
Sean has helped shape how some of the world’s most influential technology companies use data to understand people, improve products, and drive growth. Before Amgen, he led Nike’s global insights, analytics, and data science organizations, spanning research, machine learning and AI systems, marketing and measurement science, retail and digital analytics, supply chain optimization, inventory forecasting, and consumer and product research.
Earlier in his career, Sean launched and led measurement science and data partnerships at Facebook (now Meta), where he helped build some of the core measurement systems and industry methods behind modern digital advertising. At Google, he led global customer research and analytics and helped develop early large-scale data science capabilities for audience insights and advertising effectiveness.
Sean holds numerous patents in data science, marketing measurement, and consumer privacy, and is a frequent guest lecturer on artificial intelligence, data science, digital transformation, and marketing science at leading universities and business schools. He previously served on the Board of Directors of the Advertising Research Foundation and as Chair of the Board of Directors of the Marketing Science Institute.
Sean studied Psychology/Neuroscience and Biological Sciences at Stanford University, where his research used emerging brain imaging technologies including functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI).
